    @dkcol86 i know. im like football…its in the name…its a ball that you kick with your foot, hence the term FOOTBALL.

    American football = Body armour, Steroids and hardly any playing.
    Rugby = Big giant scary guys who have REAL muscles

    @muzapstar
    durring an american football game the real “play-action” is only 12!!!!! Minutes-the rest of the time they spend with picking gameplans or commercial breaks or whatever-nothing happens 75% of the time.

    Thats why american football will never make it in a football dominated-country -which most countries of the world are.

    btw. hockey ftw.

    @cashisabelle soccer is freaking slow dude. they should make the field a LOT smaller. how many fuckn tie games do u need to see that? the most points any team scores is 2. basket ball kicks ass btw

    @cashisabelle
    I don’t really care for any sport besides hockey, but how is soccer not a “slower sport”? It’s 90 minutes of chasing a ball with maybe 1 or 2 goals scored a game. That’s considerably slower then american football and baseball.

    @Radz117 He doesn’t.
    This is more of a stance against fake hollywood like people, which lets face it is the main reason the beckhams probably went to america. Once the footballs done they just want to be a hollywood couple……gay!

    Yup. Sweaty guys in close contact.. GAY. Basketball.. GAY! Football.. GAY!

    Anyone who disagrees with me.. GAY.

    (Nothing wrong with that though, just accept it)

    @SportIrish sorry irony is hard the get online and thats your opinion. although i do agree that its sad that money overrules pride.

  9. SportIrish

    @ccocke13baby I’d say the likes of River Plate, Santos and Boca Juniors play their matches with about the same level of intensity of some Texas Universities and High Schools!!!! See the ironic excalamtion marks???? I didn’t misinterpet what you wrote. I just don’t agree that High School soccer could be as intense as South Amreican professionals. But I do agree with you in that a lot of pros these days are doing it just for the money where amateur HS players have a lot more pride in their jersey.

  10. ccocke13baby

    @SportIrish OK 1) I was saying that if you watch HS games in Texas and at the Universities it is almost as intense as pro-teams not the other way around as you mistakenly interpreted. 2) @cashisabelle was saying that “in the states i felt like going to the movies it’s more entertainment but no passion.” so i was informing them that in fact games do get intense like those of pro-teams in South America maybe you should see a game in Texas HS playoffs before you act all superior.

    Great, a guy ripping on Americans for being stupid when you yourself are dumb.

    Soccer originates from the gentlemen’s term for the game. As it spread around the world, lower class referred to it as soccer. It evolved into another game for “ruggers” and became rugby.

    It’s a game played on foot, thus the name. Like baseball is played on bases.

    Polo is from the Tibetan word “Pulu” meaning ball. Yet, they play on horses. Go make fun of that next, dolt.

    i like soccer but hate beckham wasn’t even a good player only because he had the looks that’s why everybody like him and the only good goal he scored was against Greece.

  13. SportIrish

    @ccocke13baby “if you watch the HS games in playoffs, they are almost as intense as the pro teams in South America.” ???? You should read what you write before you post it. I’d say the likes of River Plate, Santos and Boca Juniors play their matches with about the same level of intensity of some Texas Universities and High Schools!!!! I’m sure the Lakers or the Heat wouldn’t claim to play basketball with almost the same intensity as some High Schools or Uni’s in Rio or Buenos Aires. Get real!

  14. ccocke13baby

    @cashisabelle umm in america its called Fútbol (soccer) because we have to distinguish and theres a lot of intense HS soccer in Texas and the Universities. Especially if you watch the HS games in playoffs, they are almost as intense as the pro teams in South America.
